miss my baby fred. a lot.

working retail can be kinda great. i forgot how much i liked it. i'm really liking aldo so far. plus today i went on a mini shopping spree there and got:


pretty, pretty good.

so, my great aunt has the same heart condition that i have and she knew, just as i know, that someday it would result in having to have a surgery to fix it. she thought it wasn't going to be a ways down the road. she went in for surgery this morning. crazy. i think my mom and i are driving down to modesto tomorrow to go visit her in the hospital. she's on the same floor that my papa died on. i really do hate hospitals.

i've been living in california for a month now. got a haircut. got a job with aldo. lost a great aunt. the suburbs are pretty boring, but my room is set up here and it's a pretty great sanctuary. i like being able to spend more time with my parents. i've missed my family a lot these last few years. things might be a little boring from time to time, but i feel like that's so much better than how i felt in dallas. plus, this is only temporary and a step in the right direction. i'm hoping to be in the bay area by spring. i went to visit this past halloween weekend. stayed with gina in pleasanton and then went to visit danny in oakland. pretty great. i drove home really happy on sunday.
